Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs for customers.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems.
- Provide excellent customer service while explaining automotive repairs and issues.
- Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals, and experience.
- Test parts and systems for functionality.
- Perform primary auto care and maintenance tasks (oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotation).
- Replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other components.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and general mechanic work.
- Show willingness to learn through hands‑on experience.
- Assist in keeping the repair shop clean and organized.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Experience with automotive and engine repair or auto mechanic training is required.
- ASE certifications are necessary.
- Valid driver's license.
- Associate’s degree in auto maintenance and repair.
- Ability to present a professional image while providing friendly customer service.
- Keep accurate records (read, interpret, and transcribe data).
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- May lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a lube technician or prepared for on‑job training.
- Understanding of automotive air‑conditioning systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment, diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared for on‑job training.
- Good hand‑eye coordination.
