<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Job description<p><strong>The candidate we&#39;re seeking is best described as someone who:</strong></p><ul><li>Enjoys goal-oriented problem-solving, who is energized by challenges</li><li>Is highly organized and excels in personal time management</li><li>Is comfortable starting conversations with strangers, either in-person, over the phone, or via email or chat</li><li>Has a strong vocabulary and is an effective written and verbal communicator</li><li>Is able to make consistently positive first impressions on those around them</li></ul><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education of any discipline</li><li>Previous success in a B2C and/or commission-based sales role</li><li>Fluency with current cloud productivity software and basic workflows</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>At least 1 year of sales experience (inside or outside) and/or delivering elite level customer service</li><li>Some experience playing a musical instrument, at <em>any </em>level</li></ul><p><strong>Accountabilities:</strong></p><p>1. Assist and sell to customers (walk-ins, callers, leads generated through online marketing, school clients, etc.) to make an educated decision about instrument</p><ul><li>Answer incoming phone calls, where you&#39;ll qualify and connect with customers</li><li>Assist walk-ins with questions. Provide them with a thorough sales presentation based on their area of interest.</li><li>Develop and manage a pipeline of sales prospects in line with company policies and systems</li></ul><p>2. Understand Merriam Music product offerings and market positioning at an expert level</p><p>3. Participate in professional development</p><ul><li>Participate in ongoing training and development</li><li>Participate in weekly team meetings to strategize reaching sales targets through promotions and initiatives</li></ul><p><strong>Salary Expectations & Benefits:</strong></p><p>The compensation structure includes both base salary in addition to performance-based commission. Successful candidates have the ability to earn between $65,000 $80,000.</p><p>Merriam Music full-time employees enjoy membership in a co-op benefits package, which offers coverages for dental, medical, and other various benefits.</p><p><strong>Schedule and location:</strong></p><p>The schedule includes a blended schedule included day shifts, evening shifts and consistent weekends. It is expected that the individual will work 2-3 days a week on-site at the Oakville location and 2-3 days a week working remotely from home.</p></p></p>
