As part of our growth, we are seeking an
Applications and Technical Sales Specialist (Life Sciences)
to support commercial expansion while providing high-level scientific and technical support to our customers.

Position Summary

The
Applications and Technical Sales Specialist (Life Sciences)
is a key, client-facing role that combines sales and business development with scientific and technical application support across MediLumine's portfolio of life science solutions.

This position focuses on managing and advancing commercial opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth related to MediLumine's CRO services, imaging systems, software platforms, reagents, systems, and accessories. In parallel, the Specialist provides high-value scientific and application support to ensure clients successfully understand, adopt, and leverage MediLumine's technologies.

The role serves as a continuous point of contact for prospective and existing clients throughout the sales cycle and beyond, including needs assessment, technical discussions, product and solution demonstrations, deal closure, onboarding, training, and post-sale scientific support. Close collaboration with internal scientific, engineering, and operational teams is essential to deliver a seamless client experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales, Business Development & Customer Engagement

  • Manage and follow up with prospects and clients throughout the full sales cycle
  • Qualify leads, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate pipeline tracking
  • Conduct exploratory and technical discussions to understand customer scientific, technical, and operational needs
  • Present MediLumine's solutions, including CRO services, imaging systems, software platforms, reagents, systems, and accessories
  • Contribute to the preparation sales proposals, quotations, and statements of work (SOW)
  • Support deal negotiation and closure in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and contribute to revenue growth

Applications, Scientific & Technical Support

  • Provide scientific and application support during pre-sale and post-sale phases
  • Deliver technical and scientific demonstrations, including on-site at customer locations when required (may involve international travel)
  • Support customer onboarding, training, and adoption of MediLumine's technologies
  • Contribute to CRO project deliverables, including the preparation and consolidation of scientific reports
  • Assist with data interpretation and communication of results to clients
  • Work closely with internal scientific, engineering, and operational teams to align customer needs with solution delivery

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in life sciences, biotechnology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of scientific workflows, laboratory environments, and experimental data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (primary) and French
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage follow-ups effectively
  • Comfort interacting with customers in technical, commercial, and consultative contexts
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bilingualism required (the majority of our customers are international)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales, application scientist roles, CRO environments, or customer-facing scientific or technical positions
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle, including lead qualification and opportunity follow-up
  • Familiarity with imaging technologies, laboratory instrumentation, software platforms, reagents, or consumables
  • Experience with scientific report writing and data interpretation
  • Availability for occasional customer travel
