Reporting to the Director responsible for investor relations, business development and communications for Private Equity, the successful candidate will work closely with members of the Investor Relations, Sales, Portfolio Strategy & Analytics and Investment teams. Specifically, this role will support the development of private equity product and fundraising strategies, lead day-to-day fundraising initiatives, manage internal stakeholder relationships and serve as a key contact for our investors. The successful candidate will thrive in a self-driven, high-performance, collaborative team environment and gain direct insight into the workings of a global private markets investment firm.
The successful candidate will possess 2-6 years of financial or professional services experience, in an advisory, accounting, finance, investor relations or general business function. This role will be responsible for assisting the Private Equity team across a range of activities, including:
- Investor communications: develop content for investor communications such as in-person updates, quarterly reports, annual investor conferences and conference calls.
- Fundraising: develop and maintain content and collateral for fundraising activities such as marketing materials, due diligence questionnaires, investment case studies, RFP responses and online data rooms.
- Data and portfolio analytics: analyze and track asset-level and fund-level KPIs, investment track record and market data to support portfolio analysis and development of investor-facing materials.
- Investor servicing: respond to investors’ information needs, requirements and inquiries.
- Product development: assist senior leadership with the development of new funds and mandates.
- Market trends/research: develop market and competitor mapping, research market trends/data, and support fund performance benchmarking.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate university degree with excellent academic credentials
- A professional designation in accounting or finance (such as CPA or CFA) is an asset, but not required
- 2-6 years of financial or professional services experience, in an advisory, accounting, finance, investor relations or general business function
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate and present ideas and perspectives effectively (with fluency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high degree of intellectual curiosity; demonstrated ability to be proactive
- Interest in financial markets, private markets investments, the institutional investment industry and portfolio construction and asset allocation principles
- Flexible team player with a history of collaborating with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to successfully multi-task and prioritize, with strong attention to detail
