Temporary Full Time <br /> Monday to Thursday 9:00am-7:00pm<br />Hours/Week<br /> Mississauga Site<br /> Work Arrangement: On-Site<br /> Replacement Position<br /> Compensation Range: $ $33.22/hour <br /> Position Summary: <br /> We are currently seeking talented individuals to fill the role of temporary full time Clinical Therapist within the OAP Urgent Response Service (URS). URS is an exciting new program within the OAP that is designed to provide time-limited service and support for children and youth with a diagnosis of ASD. The program will respond rapidly to a specific need, and reduce risk of further harm from behavior such as aggression, self-injury, and/or property destruction. Under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor, the Clinical Therapist will be responsible for delivering individualized behavioural intervention in a variety of learning settings. <p>Key Responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor to develop, implement, and deliver treatments based on the principles of behavior analysis; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Addresschallenging behaviours through function-based analysis and treatment; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Deliverindividualized behavioural intervention in a variety of learning settings such as in home, in community, and in center; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Make data-based decisions on treatment planning for clients so as to enhance children's response to treatment; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Independently identify supports and barriers to learning for each child and bring this information to treatment on a day-to-day basis; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Providecoaching for parents and caregivers on effective learning strategies and techniques as appropriate for each client; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Completing all associated data collection and documentation of the intervention in a timely manner; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, families and community partners; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Seekinginput from colleagues and sharing information and ideas to enhance team functioning and providing clinical direction for individual clients; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Actively engage in parent coaching, deliver education workshops, and coordinate transfer of learning with schools. </li> </ul> <p>Qualifications: </p><ul><li>A Psychology Degree or diploma in Autism Behavioral Sciences is a strong asset; <br /> <br /> however, other related diplomas will be considered (ECE, CYW); <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Minimumtwoyear of clinical experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Outstandingorganizational capacity; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Training and Knowledge in ABA and evidence-based interventions to reduce maladaptive behaviour is required; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Training inadult learning principles is an asset; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Experience in implementing a care-giver mediated model/parent coaching is an asset; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Proven customer service and interpersonal skills, comfortable acting as an ambassador of ErinoakKids; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organization, ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Strong computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to learn new database systems required; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>An ability to display a high level of initiative; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Knowledge of technology solutions for children with autism; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Must beavailable to work flexible hours including evenings; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>Must beable to travel across Peel and Halton regions, or work at another site as required; <br /> <br /> </li> <li>A validOntario driver's license is required as well as access to a personal vehicle. </li> </ul> Internal applicants please submit your applications by November 12, <br /> <br />Join us on our mission to make a difference and impact on the lives of children and youth with disabilities.
