About the Role

• Ownership and accountability for full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

• Ensure timely preparation of monthly and annual financial statements including related analysis, year end files, tax filings and regulatory reporting

• Supervise and mentor the internal finance team, including overseeing day-to-day operations and performance management

• Prepare and monitor annual and monthly operating expense budgets in collaboration with department leaders

• Oversee and process payroll in collaboration with the Human Resources Team to ensure accuracy

• Monitor KPIs and provide timely insights and relevant reporting to Director of Finance with the goal of improving firm performance.

• Prepare routine and ad-hoc reporting as required to support decision-making or operational needs.

• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance.

• Responsibility for the implementation and continual enhancement of financial systems software and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  

If you have

• Previous experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of GAAP, ASPE, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling and data analysis/visualization (PowerBI experience preferred)

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building trusted relationships

• A mindset of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement

• A passion for mentoring and developing others. You take pride in building high-performing teams and helping your team succeed

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
