We are currently seeking a <strong>Custodian</strong> to make sure that all types of office buildings, fabrication shops, and warehouses are neat, clean, free from clutter and safe.</p><p>Propak also offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a company matched group RRSP. If you are a looking to grow with a company who values work-life balance this may be the position for you. <br><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Report on time and fit for duty</li><li>Participate in daily toolbox meetings</li><li>Clean and disinfect common areas:<ul><li>Printer rooms</li><li>Conference rooms</li><li>Washroom</li><li>Change/locker rooms</li><li>Kitchen/coffee areas</li><li>Vending machine</li><li>Staircases</li><li>Electronic items</li></ul></li><li>Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects</li><li>disinfect high touch surfaces on a set schedule</li><li>Under direct supervision, may be required to operate basic hand and power tools.</li><li>Clean work areas and equipment.</li><li>Perform other laboring and basic activities.</li><li>Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the office building looking clean and professional</li><li>Adhere to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone</li><li>Perform routing cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team</li><li>Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces</li><li>Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets</li><li>Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)</li><li>Wipe mirrors and windows</li><li>Maintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, cleaning entrances</li><li>Perform maintenance and minor repairs (fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)</li><li>Report major damages</li><li>Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting up the alarm</li><li>Undertake custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)</li><li>Ensuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours.</li><li>Collaborating with contract cleaning services.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Prior experience working with cleaning equipment and supplies is an asset</li><li>Prior experience handling basic maintenance repairs is an asset</li><li>As a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement, and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.</li></ul><p><strong>Propak Systems Ltd. </strong>thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p><em>No Phone Calls Please</em></p></p></p>
