<p><h3>Data Processing Coordinator (Grant-Funded Opportunity)</h3>
<p>Carleton University invites applications for the Data Processing Coordinator position for the FUSION project. The role is a grant‑funded appointment within the Teaching Excellence and Innovation department.</p>
<p>Job Number: J1125-0086<br/>Job Type: Grant Appointment<br/>Job Category: Administrative<br/>Number of Positions: 1<br/>Hours Per Week: 35<br/>Salary: 34.07 CAD per hour<br/>Assignment Duration: 12 January 2026 – 30 October 2026<br/>Closing Date: 27 November 2025</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Validate and clean data, managing an MS Excel database.</li>
<li>Perform data entry, transcription, and analysis.</li>
<li>Generate reports and submit completed data reports to the project funder.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.</li>
<li>Assist with processing transactions, streamline workflows, and support data‑related processes.</li>
<li>Conduct quality checks, identify and correct errors, discrepancies, or missing information.</li>
<li>Maintain data security: backups, destruction of obsolete files, and secure handling of documents.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ability to master custom data entry systems, including systems developed in‑house and systems supplied by the project funder.</li>
<li>Detail‑oriented with an analytical mindset.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated decision‑making, organizational, and time‑management skills.</li>
<li>Excellent MS Excel skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of confidentiality requirements and associated ethical guidelines.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education and Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Post‑secondary education in information systems or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience with data entry in Excel – preference for extensive MS Excel experience.</li>
<li>Experience with sorting, organizing, and maintaining database integrity and security.</li>
<li>Experience taking appropriate security precautions when handling personally identifiable data.</li>
<li>Experience in a higher education setting is an asset.</li>
</ul>
