<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and innovative not-for-profit organization in their search for a Director of Finance. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a meaningful impact in community work, overseeing critical accounting operations and contributing to the organization&#39;s mission of strengthening communities through bold ideas and collaborative action.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><ul><li>Lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data</li><li>Partner with leadership to drive financial planning, audit preparation, and donor reporting</li><li>Develop and maintain robust accounting systems and controls, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to align accounting operations with investment and donor reporting needs</li><li>Preparing financial reports on <span >monthly/quarterly/annual</span> basis for senior management in accordance with regulatory expectations, as well as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and donor activity reporting</li><li>Act as a main point of contact for audits and ensure compliance throughout the process.</li><li>Lead an existing Accounting function, with the expectation to offer guidance, mentor, and oversee performance of more junior accounting staff</li><li>Provide operational insights that could have a positive impact on the accounting function in terms of efficiencies and overall improvements to standard operating procedures.</li></ul></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p><ul><li>Extensive experience in financial management and accounting, preferably in mission driven environments</li><li>Canadian CPA designation</li><li>Proven ability to manage financial operations and lead accounting teams</li><li>Strong understanding of fund accounting and compliance requirements for registered charities</li><li>Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities</li><li>In office opportunity with emergency flex</li></ul></p><p><strong>Rewards:</strong></p><p><ul><li>Opportunity to contribute to meaningful community initiatives and social impact</li><li>Collaborative work environment fostering innovation and professional growth</li><li>Competitive compensation package reflective of experience and impact</li></ul></p><p><strong>To Apply:</strong></p><p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please forward your resume (in Word format) directly to <strong>Kyne Hunt, VP of Recruitment and Advisory</strong>, referencing "Director of Finance" in the subject line of your email.
