Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team. The EMT will provide critical care to patients in emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being during transport to medical facilities. This role requires quick thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in various environments.


Duties

  • Assess patients’ conditions and provide appropriate emergency medical care.
  • Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
  • Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including assisting patients onto stretchers or into ambulances.
  • Utilize medical terminology accurately when communicating with healthcare professionals and documenting patient information.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring that all medical tools are functional and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient handoff upon arrival at medical facilities.
  • Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations.


Experience

  • Previous experience in patient care is highly desirable, preferably in a hospital or emergency setting.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and medical terminology is essential.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the demands of the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 5 months



Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 70 per week
