ERP Security Specialist

Job Summary:
The ERP Security Specialist is responsible for administering, monitoring, and maintaining security and access controls within the organization’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role ensures users have appropriate access based on job responsibilities, supports segregation of duties (SoD), enforces security policies, and partners with compliance, audit, and ERP teams to maintain a secure and well-controlled ERP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Security & Access Management
- Administer user access provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning within ERP systems
- Design, maintain, and enforce ERP security roles, profiles, and permissions
- Ensure access aligns with the principle of least privilege
- Support onboarding, transfers, and terminations
Segregation of Duties (SoD) & Controls
- Monitor and analyze segregation of duties conflicts
- Support mitigation strategies and compensating controls
- Partner with compliance and audit teams
Reviews & Monitoring
- Perform periodic user access reviews
- Monitor security logs and access exceptions
- Investigate ERP security incidents
Change Management & Risk Support
- Review ERP security impacts of system changes
- Participate in ERP risk assessments
Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain ERP security procedures and role documentation
- Provide audit evidence and support remediation
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with ERP and IT security teams
- Recommend automation and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in ERP security or access management
- Hands-on ERP experience (QAD, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics)
- Understanding of IAM, SoD, and access controls
- Manufacturing or supply-chain ERP experience
- CISA, CISSP, or Security+ certification
- Experience with ERP GRC tools
- Knowledge of SOX or ITGCs
