<p>We are seeking an Events and Marketing Student for our Ottawa District within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4 months from January 2026 to April 2026.</p>
<p>Here’s how an Events and Marketing Student contributes to our team :</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Assist with planning, organizing and executing corporate and social events for 10,500 people.</li>
<li>Research and suggest suitable venues, vendors and suppliers for various event needs.</li>
<li>Assist in creating event budgets and tracking expenses throughout the planning process.</li>
<li>Assist in planning and facilitating logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor and marketing materials.</li>
<li>Assist in developing marketing materials, invitations and promotional content.</li>
<li>Assist with on‑site set‑up/tear‑down and event management, overseeing registration, guest services and attendee experiences.</li>
<li>Receive and review invitations to external events and evaluate the relevance and potential benefits of attending each event.</li>
<li>Support the maintenance and consistency of the organization's brand identity across all marketing materials and communications.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Working towards a degree or diploma in an events or marketing‑related field (event management, marketing, hospitality, communications, business administration, etc.).</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication.</li>
<li>Strong organization skills.</li>
<li>Strong problem‑solving skills.</li>
<li>Competency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).</li>
</ul>
<h3>Experience with photography</h3>
<p>Interest in or experience with graphic or visual design an asset (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc.).</p>
