The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and creating memorable experiences through graphic design. This design asset further connects people to place and provides unique solutions tailored to our client’s culture and brand.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Experiential Environmental Designer, you will use your creative expertise and understanding of environmental spaces to create impactful, visual experiences within the built environment. You will also partner with Architecture and our unique offering in Lifescape to further enhance Kasian's capabilities for designing the human connection between people and place.

Here's what you’ll be doing at Kasian:

  • Consult with clients to understand their design needs and objectives relative to graphic design, interior design, architecture, signage and wayfinding
  • Create design concepts with Interior Design/Architecture that meet the client's requirements and create an engaging visual experience
  • Develop signage and wayfinding systems for built environments
  • Create a wide variety of environmental graphics and visual experiences through lighting, exhibit design, artwork, illustrative concepts and directional graphics
  • Work with the Architects and Interior Designers to confirm alignment with the design team and client expectations. Integrate the graphic elements into physical spaces
  • Manage and produce all phases of the project, from concept development to production of detailed drawings and specifications, review shop drawings and coordination of installations
  • Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes
  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials and production methods
  • Coordinate with professionals such as fabricators, installers and the project team to ensure project success
  • Perform site visits and inspections to ensure correct installation

Here’s what you bring to Kasian:

  • Proven work experience (over 5 years) as an environmental and experiential graphic designer working in an architectural/Interior design firm or special event consulting firm, with an ability to understand architectural drawings
  • Capable of managing a team of designers or having overseen large-scale projects
  • Has worked in a senior-level role that requires strategic thinking and a high degree of creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • BSc degree in Graphic design, Industrial design, Interior design or related field
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and REVIT
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Performance Metrics

  • Contribution to strategic firm initiatives
  • Growth in new business opportunities and revenue for Interior Design and Lifescape
  • Promote client satisfaction
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of projects
  • Significant addition and improvement to Kasian marketing materials, and elevates Kasian’s design offering

What We Offer:

  • A creative and collaborative environment
  • National project exposure and opportunity to support high-profile pursuits
  • Mentorship and learning opportunities in business strategy and development
  • A competitive compensation and benefits package
  • Flexibility and work-life balance in a values-driven workplace
