Floater Drivers are laid off during July, August, Spring Break, Christmas Break, and any other school holiday over 5 days in duration.</p><p>In addition to your duties as a School Bus Driver, the principal duties and responsibilities of the Floater Driver are:</p><ul><li>Complete mandatory wheelchair training</li><li>Be willing and able to drive any route and operate any equipment for Complex Learning Needs (CLN) or School Bus</li><li>Perform non-driving duties, as assigned, during scheduled hours</li><li>Drive safely and responsibly; be prepared for all road and weather conditions</li><li>Verify with Dispatch what schools are on PRO</li><li>Keep up-to-date route information</li><li>Maintain radio contact and use proper radio protocol</li><li>Be prepared and ready to go at the designated banking location assigned by dispatch; communicate with dispatch at the scheduled time</li><li>Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems</li><li>Submit bus misconducts to school when necessary</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Valid Class 2S driver’s license</li><li>4 or less demerits, with a relatively clean abstract</li></ul></p></p>
