<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Forklift Mechanic</strong></p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>This is a newly created role for an experienced Forklift Mechanic to support operations across multiple sites. The successful candidate will work independently, managing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for a fleet of forklifts, primarily <strong>Linde equipment</strong>. This role requires strong technical capability, accountability, and a long-term mindset.</p><p>You will be provided with a <strong>dedicated service van</strong> and operate with a high degree of autonomy.</p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li>$30-$35 per hour</li><li>Benefits (Health, dental)</li><li>RRSP match program</li><li>Vacation: 3 weeks vacation (prorated)</li><li>Other perks: Goodlife membership</li><li>Tool allowance: $350 per year</li><li>Safety boot allowance: $200 per year</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of forklifts across assigned locations</li><li>Diagnose and complete emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime</li><li>Maintain forklifts powered by <strong>propane and electric systems</strong></li><li>Manage site-specific PM schedules and ensure compliance with maintenance standards</li><li>Document work completed, parts used, and equipment condition accurately</li><li>Communicate effectively with operations and maintenance leadership regarding equipment status</li><li>Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment</li></ul><p><strong>Required Experience & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Minimum 2 years of hands-on forklift mechanic experience</strong> (non-negotiable)</li><li>Direct experience working on <strong>Linde forklifts</strong> strongly preferred</li><li>Proven experience servicing both <strong>propane and electric forklifts</strong></li><li>Ability to work independently across multiple sites without close supervision</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical repair skills</li><li>High level of professionalism, reliability, and ownership of work</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Genuinely invested in their trade and takes pride in their technical skill</li><li>Brings positive energy and a solutions-focused attitude to the job</li><li>Comfortable working autonomously with responsibility for multiple locations</li><li>Seeking a <strong>long-term role</strong> with stability and growth</li><li>Safety-conscious and detail-oriented</li></ul><p></p><p> To apply please email your resume to Syndel Gerlings at <span >sgerlings@fuzehr.com</span></p><p><br /></p><p>#OPSK </p><p></p></p></p>
