THE ROLE
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Heat Treater to join a leading industrial facility in Burlington, ON. This role involves operating and monitoring heat treating equipment, preparing materials for processing, and ensuring customer specifications are met with precision. Ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality, this position offers long-term stability and growth potential in a well-established company.

- Day shift (7 am–3 pm) before transitioning to the Afternoon shift (3 pm–11 pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate, control, and monitor heat treating furnaces and related equipment independently
- Load and unload parts, bins, fixtures, and baskets according to shop traveler and customer paperwork
- Prepare work for processing and ensure accurate documentation
- Identify and report irregularities to Lead or Supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and promote good housekeeping practices
- Follow safety protocols and environmental management standards (EMS)
- Assist with other tasks as assigned, including basic data entry and inventory care
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Handle customer inventory with care to prevent loss or damage
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of experience in heat treating or similar industrial role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of metallurgy, temperature control, and industrial safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, noisy, and humid environments
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and database entry
- Comfortable with bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods
