Chan Kagha Otina Dakota Wayawa Tipi School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school located in the Birdtail Sioux First Nation, approximately 4 hours west of Winnipeg.

The school has a student population of 200 students with 15 teaching staff members. Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) A sound knowledge of Manitoba curricula Previous teaching experience A sound knowledge and experience with school-based technology Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life Experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum Strong classroom management skills Experience working with students with unique needs A commitment to differentiated instruction A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn Self-motivated Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter current resume list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant’s performance in the applicant’s current or recent assignment Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
