Please join us!. Summary of Position This posting is for a Permanent Part-Time (.43 FTE) Library Technician/Assistant position, commencing August 26th, 2024.

Hours of the position are 6.5 hours a day, every second day, Monday to Friday. The Library Technician/Assistant provides expert technical and research skills to advance the needs of staff and students.

As a Library Technician/Assistant, you will be the hub of the library and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the library including demonstrating the values of Living Sky School Division and your school community. Qualifications Graduate of Library Technician Diploma or a grade 12 education with 2-5 years’ relevant experience Intermediate to advanced level technical/computer skills (ie.

Microsoft Suite) Functional proficiency/experience with computerized office environment (ie. Internet) Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract with access to a reliable vehicle The Right Person will be service focused and have the ability to make everyone feel welcome; possess excellent communication skills; be purpose-driven and an innovative problem-solver who can find solutions in the most effective way; produce quality and timely results with an acute attention to detail; show enthusiasm and thrive in a team environment; and genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun.
