Seize the opportunity to shape the future of geotechnical drilling with us</p><p><br /></p><p>Heavy Duty Mechanic</p><p>As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring our equipment is well-maintained and ready to perform in challenging environments. If youre passionate about mechanics and eager to contribute to meaningful projects while growing your career within a supportive and safety-focused team, we want to hear from you!</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems</li></ul><ul><li>Inspect and test to detect faults and malfunctions in drill units, diesel compressors, hydraulic support equipment, high pressure water pumps</li></ul><ul><li>Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required</li></ul><ul><li>Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics</li></ul><ul><li>Contributing to the development of apprentices and working as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets.</li></ul><ul><li>Service attachments and working tools</li></ul><ul><li>Verify and repair emission control systems</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Professional Experience / Qualifications</p><ul><li>5 + years of experience with industrial heavy equipment including hydraulic equipment, diesel engines and compressors, high-pressure water pumps, drill units, diesel trucks, crawlers, and pumps</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to diligently organize work, make decisions, and set priorities</li></ul><ul><li>Valid driver's license</li></ul><ul><li>Previous experience working on drilling equipment is an asset.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills<br /></li></ul><p>Schedule: 4 X10 hour shifts - Monday - Friday with possibility for overtime.</p><p></p><p>Education</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><ul><li>Must be a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyman).</li><li>Interprovincial trade qualifications in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics (Red Seal Certification) preferred.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Compensation</p><p>$40 to $47/hr based on experience</p><p><br /></p><p>At Geotech, we pride ourselves in offering a challenging and rewarding work environment.
