Overview

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary construction and services contractor is seeking a 313A Journeyman G1 Technician to join its team in Toronto. The company specializes in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services, with projects spanning maintenance, installation, and retrofit work across commercial and industrial environments.

This is a full-time position offering stability, training, and opportunities for advancement based on performance and experience.

The successful candidate will work in accordance with established Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems, adhering to all policies and procedures designed to prevent accidents and occupational diseases. Safety training will be provided on the first day of employment, and all employees are expected to integrate health, wellness, and safety into their daily routines.

Qualifications & Experience – 313A JOURNEYMAN G1

Minimum Requirements:

  • Licensed 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
  • Gas Fitter 1 (G1) Certification – Minimum 5 years’ experience as a G1
  • ODP Certification
  • Working at Heights and WHMIS Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License – Must provide Driver’s Abstract and Background Check to the business
  • Active Skilled Trades Member (Union registration with UA787 may be required upon hire)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a 313A/G1 Journeyman
Technical Skills & Experience:
  • Preventive maintenance and demand service experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and perform advanced diagnostics
  • Experience with:
    • Boilers (mandatory)
    • Rooftop Units (RTU), Custom Air Handling Units (CAHU), Make-Up Air Units (MUA)
    • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), VAV & VVT Systems
    • VRF Systems Installation and Service
    • Constant Room Units (CRU)
    • Water Source Heat Pumps
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic systems for creating material lists, work orders, and quotations
  • Knowledge of EPA regulations and preventive maintenance best practices
