Intermediate Accountant

<p><b> Pay: CA$55,000.00 - CA$70,000.00 per year </b><p></p><p><b> Overview </b></p><p> We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple operating and holding companies within our portfolio. This role is well-suited for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is eager to expand their knowledge in a dynamic, multi-entity environment. </p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><p>· Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities. </p><p>· Assist with year-end procedures, working papers, and coordination with external accountants. </p><p>· Prepare or assist with HST filings and ensure compliance with filing deadlines. </p><p>· Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. </p><p>· Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including posting transactions and reconciling balances. </p><p>· Assist with intercompany reconciliations and journal entries. </p><p>· Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management. </p><p>· Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for accounting records. </p><p>· Support the accounting team with administrative duties related to audits, compliance, and other special projects. </p><p></p><p><b> Qualifications </b></p><p>· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. </p><p>· 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience (multi-entity experience is an asset). </p><p>· Solid understanding of accounting principles </p><p>· Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems is an asset). </p><p>· Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations). </p><p>· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. </p><p>· Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team environment. </p><p><b><em> Great opportunities for professional growth in a multi-company accounting environment.
