<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 <br /><p>Job Title: Intermediate Accountant <br />Reports to: Accounting Manager</p><p>Overview<br />We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple operating and holding companies within our portfolio. This role is well-suited for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is eager to expand their knowledge in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities.</li><li>Assist with year-end procedures, working papers, and coordination with external accountants.</li><li>Prepare or assist with HST filings and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.</li><li>Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.</li><li>Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including posting transactions and reconciling balances.</li><li>Assist with intercompany reconciliations and journal entries.</li><li>Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.</li><li>Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for accounting records.</li><li>Support the accounting team with administrative duties related to audits, compliance, and other special projects.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>24 years of progressive accounting experience (multi-entity experience is an asset).</li><li>Solid understanding of accounting principles</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems is an asset).</li><li>Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.</li></ul><p>Compensation</p><ul><li>Salary: Approximately $60,000 to $70, 000 annually (commensurate with experience).</li><li>Benefits package available after probationary period.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth in a multi-company accounting environment.</li></ul></p></p>
