We are continuing to expand across Alberta and are looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role will specialize in service calls, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar energy systems.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li><p>Conduct service calls to diagnose and repair electrical issues related to solar PV systems</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot electrical components including wiring, inverters, modules, and monitoring systems</p></li><li><p>Ensure all electrical work meets applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements</p></li><li><p>Perform preventative maintenance and full system inspections</p></li><li><p>Work directly with customers to explain system issues and recommend solutions</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with project managers, installers, and support teams to resolve service needs efficiently</p></li><li><p>Complete detailed work orders, reports, and service records</p></li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li><p>Journeyman Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred)</p></li><li><p>Experience in residential or commercial electrical work; solar experience considered an asset</p></li><li><p>Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working independently in the field, with a high level of attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Professional communication and customer service skills</p></li><li><p>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record</p></li></ul><p><em><strong><strong>Why Firefly Solar</strong><br />At Firefly Solar, you’ll join a team dedicated to shaping Canada’s clean energy future.
