As an organization, we have an intentional focus on growing and mentoring staff, serving clients with excellence, and leaving a beautiful and lasting impression on our city.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>We Offer:</p><ul><li>RRSP program and Health Spending Account</li><li>Opportunities to grow and advance your career</li><li>Professional development and training</li><li>Excellent team environment with supportive management</li><li>45-50 hours per week with weekly pay (April to December) with some flexibility</li><li>Opportunities to work year-round</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Reports to:</p><p>Landscape Construction Production Manager</p><p><br /></p><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Have 5+ years of hands-on landscape installation experience, especially in construction</li><li>Ability to build retaining walls, interlocks, water features, pools, firepits, and fireplaces</li><li>Ability to both take and give direction in a team environment</li><li>Knowledge of grading, excavation, job site organizing, reading, and interpreting landscape designs</li><li>Enjoy working outdoors in all weather and take pride in their work</li><li>Quick learner with a keen eye for detail</li><li>Able to meet the physical demands of the job (lift min. 50 lbs)</li><li>Class G license with a clean 3-year abstract is a must</li><li>Knowledge of landscape products, power and hand tools, and installation techniques</li><li>Truck-trailer, skid steer, excavator, tractor, or other heavy equipment experience</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Build retaining walls, interlocks, water features, pools, firepits, and fireplaces<br /></li><li>Actively participate in building and installing custom landscape features, including planting, hardscaping, grading, and site preparation</li><li>Supervise, train, and coach new crew members</li><li>Organize site, ensuring a safe workplace, gathering materials and helping to organize crew</li><li>Manage equipment and materials<br /></li><li>Review the job regularly with Production Manager to ensure the project is on schedule and on budget<br /></li><li>Manual labour including digging, installing and handling of stone, concrete products, wood and other landscape materials<br /></li><li>Safe handling of gasoline, oils, diesel fuels, concrete adhesives etc. and ensuring labourers on site are aware of hazards<br /></li><li>Keeping site clean and cleanup at end of day<br /></li><li>Some plant care may be required including planting, weeding and pruning<br /></li><li>Use of tractor with loader, skid steer, mini-excavators, stone saws, plate compactor and other hand and power tools as trained or certified only<br /></li><li>Timely and accurate submission of timesheets and job related documentation including receipts, work orders and change orders<br /></li><li>Participate in the goals and objectives of Wild Ridge Landscapes, including the building of a company culture that is always respectful, inclusive, and motivated to provide excellent results and to constantly be growing in knowledge and skills<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Wild Ridge Landscapes Inc. is an equal opportunity employer proud of its diverse team.</p><p><br /></p><p>Please contact <span >vahid@wildridge.ca,</span> or call (343) 309-5449, if you require accommodation during the hiring process.</p><p><br /></p><p>Apply now via our company website at <span >https://wildridge.bamboohr.com/careers</span> , or send your resume to <span >careers@wildridge.ca</span> to be considered for this position.</p></p></p>
