SUMMARY <br /><br />Baxtec is seeking a licensed Plumber to perform commercial service, maintenance, and installation work in the Ottawa area.<br /><br /> BAXTEC MECHANICAL SERVICES <br /><br />Baxtec Mechanical Services is a dynamic and growing commercial mechanical contractor in the Ottawa area. Baxtec Mechanical is dedicated to continual improvement and is always searching for ways to improve internal systems using the latest technology or work processes to deliver the absolute highest possible customer service.<br /><br />Baxtec Mechanical offers competitive salary and a generous benefits plan including retirement contributions, medical/dental health plans, tool purchase plans, and other benefits.<br /><br />We are looking for an eager plumber to join our team to help contribute to our continued success.<br /><br /> MAIN DUTIES <br /><br /> Respond to plumbing service calls including leaks, drain blockages, sump pump issues, blocked toilets/urinals, replacement of faucets, hot water tanks and boilers, trouble shooting plumbing systems.<br /> Installation, maintenance, and annual inspection of back flow preventers, City of Ottawa surveys for premise isolation.<br /> Maintenance and repair to cold water booster pumps, pressure reducing valves, sump pumps (controls) and pits.<br /> Installation, setup, and calibration of domestic hot water mixing stations<br /> Modifications, repairs, installation of various piping systems including copper, PEX, plastic drainage, Sch 40 black pipe, cast iron.<br /> Use of CCTV and locator system to inspect piping, knowledge of a different variety of cabling and flushing equipment.<br /> Small scale drain flushing projects<br /> Provide after hours on call emergency service (on rotation)<br /> Completion of documentation required as part of our customer service process<br /><br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /><br /> Ontario licensed Plumber/Apprentice<br /> Ontario Gas Fitter (optional)<br /> Cross Connection certification (optional)<br /> Valid drivers license and clean driving record<br /> Capable of obtaining high level security clearance<br /> Strong customer service and team player skills<br /><br /> BENEFITS <br /><br /> Very competitive pay scale<br /> Includes generous retirement plan<br /> Includes company funded tool purchase plan<br /> Includes company funded medical/vision/dental/ortho plan<br /><br />Job Type: Full-time<br /><br />Pay: $49.00 per hour<br /><br />Additional pay:<br /> Overtime pay<br />Benefits:<br /> Company car<br /> Company pension<br /> Dental care<br /> Disability insurance<br /> Employee assistance program<br /> Extended health care<br /> Life insurance<br /> RRSP match<br /> Vision care<br />Schedule:<br /> Monday to Friday<br /><br />Work Location: In person
