<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We are seeking an Intermediate Litigation Legal Assistant for a medium sized law firm located in South Edmonton. The successful candidate is a self-starter with high attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and excellent organizational skills that effectively support busy practices. </p><br><br><p>Key requirements:</p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a litigation role</li><li>Highly organized and pro-active approach to meeting deadlines while producing accurate quality work</li><li>Experienced in submissions to Court of King’s Bench (KB) and navigation of the Filing Digital Service, Court Case Management Digital Service, and Email Filing systems for same</li><li>Experience conducting due diligence searches </li><li>Experience with billing and understanding of basic accounting principles</li><li>Strong client service and relationship building</li><li>Transcription and formatting of documents via dictation or digital forms</li></ul><br><br><p>Other requirements:</p><ul><li>Post-secondary education from a recognized Legal <span >Assistant/Paralegal</span> program </li><li>Experience drafting pleadings, writs of enforcement, and letters</li><li>Adapts to changing priorities with effectiveness in a high-volume work environment</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Fluency in English- speaking, reading, and writing</li><li>Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other legal software </li><li>Quick learner who is curious and retains knowledge</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>This position is full-time permanent.</p><p><br /></p><p>We are excited to assist you in your career search!
