Job Description

We are currently searching for an experienced hands-on Maintenance Team Lead for our Global manufacturing team. Our ideal candidate plays a key part in minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing asset performance through hands-on maintenance support, technical project coordination, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.


You are a detail-oriented preventative maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment. This position will appeal to someone who is a strong team player, growth oriented and continuous improvement focussed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to ensure timely and efficient task completion, conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance
  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Assist the Engineering Manager and leadership team with capital projects and execute technical projects from planning through successful completion on time and on budget to improve facility operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance schedules with production
  • Coordinate work orders, maintaining accurate spare parts inventory, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure maintenance and project tasks align with operational goals, cost-effectiveness, and safety standards to drive overall operational efficiency
  • Coordinate technical project work to meet safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Prepare project justifications, obtain quotes, and manage vendor work to ensure timely, cost-effective service delivery
  • Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, including contract management and supply procurement
  • Operate and maintain the CMMS for scheduling, tracking, and reporting on all maintenance activities
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize preventive maintenance processes
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders to minimize downtime and operational disruption, ensuring all work orders are completed in alignment with quality, safety, and operational efficiency goals
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a spare parts inventory system or database to ensure availability of critical components
  • Order, manage, and maintain inventory of parts and supplies to support ongoing maintenance and projects
  • Review and evaluate service provider and vendor contracts periodically to ensure competitive pricing and reliable service
  • Ensure safe work environment/comply with company safety procedures, regulatory standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or Technical Diploma - Electrical/Mechanical or related field
  • 5+ years’ PM experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Proven ability to perform equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, and routine maintenance, familiarity with spare parts inventory systems or databases
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints and equipment documentation
  • Strong project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion
  • Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and external service providers
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and participate in ongoing training
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, regulations, and use of PPE
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
