Help support some of the most vulnerable people in your community in this role.</p><p> </p><p>If you were working for us as a Maintenance Worker, here are some of the things you would have done last week:</p><ul><li>Performed general maintenance and upkeep of the building, including plumbing, heating and cooling systems, electrical repairs, plastering, painting, and other assigned tasks</li><li>Prioritized tasks according to the needs of the Home</li><li>Moved resident and non-resident furniture safely within the Home</li><li>Maintained logs and records for work performed, including materials and equipment used</li><li>Ensured tools and equipment were in proper working order</li><li>Assisted with preventative maintenance, utilizing computerized systems to track work and schedules</li><li>Monitored the Home for maintenance and safety issues, taking action or reporting concerns as appropriate</li><li>Adhered to all policies, procedures, and legislative standards, ensuring a safe and compliant environment</li><li>Supported special projects such as carpet cleaning, painting, or backup maintenance tasks</li><li>Responded to emergency call-ins to ensure continuity of a safe environment</li><li>And supported your team as needed.</li></ul><p> </p><p>When you apply, if you have your credentials, we will try our best to reach out to you within the week (hopefully within a few days). While we don&#39;t take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents!</p>Qualifications<br><br><p>To be hired into this role, you must have:</p><ul><li>Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Knowledge of building and fire codes in Long term care</li><li>Must be available for emergency “call-in’s”</li><li>Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months</li><li>TB 2 Step updated within the last year</li></ul><br><br></p></p>
