We serve apredominantly elderly patient population, so compassion, patience, and professionalism are at the heart of everything we do. Our team of nationally recognized ophthalmologists provides MSP-covered exams and surgeries, private lens procedures, and LASIK.</p><p><br /></p><p>The Opportunity<br />We are seeking a full-timeMedical Office Assistant (MOA)to join our busy team. This role is central to ensuring a smooth, professional, and patient-focused experience. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling reception, scheduling, referrals, and product sales, while also supporting the clinical team in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br /></p><p>Training & Locations<br />This is amulti-site position. Training will take place at our Surrey clinic during the first three months. After training, your weekly schedule will include Surrey and Coquitlam as needed. Flexibility and willingness to travel are required.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Welcome, check-in, and check-out patients across cataract, refractive, cosmetic, and surgical services.</li><li>Manage phones, voicemails, and patient reminders.</li><li>Coordinate referrals, appointments, and medical records via Accuro EMR.</li><li>Support surgery scheduling, kit preparation, consents, and patient instructions.</li><li>Manage product sales, collect payments, and reconcile daily batches.</li><li>Assist with inventory, paperwork, and maintaining clinic protocols.</li><li>Keep reception and waiting areas clean and organized.</li><li>Travel to other clinic locations as needed.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Essential Skills & Attributes</p><ul><li>Compassion and patience with elderly patients; ability to explain procedures clearly and respectfully.</li><li>Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy in patient records and scheduling.</li><li>Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Sales-oriented mindset with confidence in promoting clinic products and services.</li><li>Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Comfortable with medical software, Google Drive, spreadsheets, and communication tools.</li><li>Ethical, professional, and committed to patient confidentiality.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>What Were Looking For</p><ul><li>23 years of experience in a medical office or high-volume clinic (preferred).</li><li>Familiarity with referrals, scheduling, and medical workflows.</li><li>Sales or product promotion experience is an asset.</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly, problem-solve, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Full-time role in a collaborative, patient-focused team.</li><li>Structured training</li><li>Opportunity to support nationally recognized ophthalmologists.</li><li>A dynamic role that combines administration, patient care, and sales.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>If you are friendly, patient, and eager to contribute to a team that prioritizes excellent care for seniors, please email yourresume.
