<p><p><b>Payroll Analyst</b></p></p> <p>Employment Type</p> <p>Permanent</p> <p>Location</p> <p>Oakville, Ontario</p> Apply SHARE THIS JOB <br/> <p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p></p> <p>Our established client in the industrial space is looking for a Payroll Analyst to join their team. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for assisting in multiple payroll activities relating to weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing in a union and non-unionized environment. This includes timely and accurate reporting of payroll data for the company employees. Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.</p><p>Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst is as follows, but not limited to:</p>
<li>Full payroll cycle processing - Process new hires, rehires, changes & terminations in UKG and JDE</li>
<li>Review hours exported and balance timesheet hours </li>
<li>Balance and process weekly expenses submitted through payroll</li>
<li>Process payroll deductions such as union dues, garnishments and other recoverable</li>
<li>Receive incoming payroll documents weekly for payroll processing from district administrators and review for errors. Communicate with districts to determine and correct errors, if any.</li>
<li>Generate payroll reports and update relevant spreadsheets with view of compliance implications</li>
<li>Perform system steps to generate payroll GL downloads</li>
<li>Issue Records of Employment and update systems accordingly</li>
<li>Ensure payroll month end requisitions and remittance requests are processed as per due dates</li>
<li>Calculate manual payroll payments for out of process items, including preparing and entering wire transfers and ensuring appropriate deductions occur</li>
<li>Communicate with 3rd party vendors such as Service Canada, Unions, Workers Compensation, and other government agencies with scope of role</li>
<li>Process annual union increases and applicable retroactive payments in collaboration with team</li>
<li>Monthly Union Remittances – create reports and process any adjustments as necessary</li>
<li>Monthly WSIB compensation reports – create and process</li>
<li>Assist with year-end duties and reconciliations</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li> <p>TMGNY</p> <p><p><b>Job Requirements:</b></p></p> <li>Certification through the National Payroll Institute or completion of payroll related courses</li>
<li>Minimum of 3+ years of progressively responsible payroll administration experience</li>
<li>Knowledge and work experience with UKG Pro is preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of current legislative requirements and CRA regulations</li>
<li>Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office. Excel is CRITICAL, TEAMS, Word and Outlook</li>
<li>Quick learner with attention to detail and accuracy</li>
<li>Ability to deal with tight deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills</li>
<li>Strong customer service and collaboration focus</li> Apply
