This role involves leadership on job sites, overseeing plumbing installations and retrofits, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and supervise plumbing crews on-site, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules.</li><li>Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.</li><li>Install, repair, and maintain water supply lines, drainage systems, plumbing fixtures, and associated mechanical equipment.</li><li>Perform hydronic system retrofits (boilers, pumps), chiller and heat pump replacements, and air handler installations.</li><li>Size and install natural gas distribution systems per code.</li><li>Coordinate work with subcontractors, consultants, and other trades.</li><li>Enforce and maintain safety protocols and company policies.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Red Seal Certification</strong> in Plumbing or Steamfitting.</li><li>Valid <strong>Gas B Ticket</strong> (minimum requirement).</li><li>Minimum <strong>2 years of experience</strong> in a Foreman or supervisory role.</li><li>Proven experience managing <strong>prime contractor projects</strong> and working with <strong>multiple trades</strong>.</li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, and local codes.</li><li>Valid <strong>AB Driver’s License</strong> with a clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to manage and mentor journeypersons and apprentices.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment as required.</li><li>Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.</li></ul><p></p><p>While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.</p><p><em>Ainsworth (a GDI company) is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
