Job Description:
Our client is seeking a
Power Engineer
with 2+ years of on-site experience, preferably in a data center. The
Building Operator
will oversee the high demand of a data center in Winnipeg!
Salary & Benefits:
Up to $65,000 per year
3 Weeks of Vacation per year
3 Paid Personal Days per year
Up to $2,000 annual Education Allowance
Up to $5,000 annual Mental Health Coverage
Up to $400 towards wellness annually
Responsibilities:
Assist in the control of base building equipment and systems
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
Track and schedule work, ensuring compliance testing is completed
Manage tenant work order requests and contractor tasks
Participate in energy management practices
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in commercial property management operations
Strong knowledge of Building HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BAS Systems, and Life Safety Systems
5th class power engineering license or BES certifications
Valid driver’s license
A hands-on mechanical and electrical professional with strong troubleshooting skills
Passion for sustainability and energy management
Criminal record check and background check required
Shifts:
The shifts are a 40-hour average over 4 weeks:
Week 1: Mon to Fri, 5:30 am to 1 pm
Week 2: Mon to Fri, 7 am to 3 pm
Week 3: Mon to Wed, 1 pm to 10 pm, Thur & Fri off, Sat 6 am to 6 pm
Week 4: Sun 6 am to 6 pm, off Mon to Fri, 12:30 pm to 10 pm
Data Center Information:
The data center is a ~65,000 sq ft facility operational 24/7, serving the entire company. The selected candidate must be willing to work within a rotation schedule, share on-call duties, provide standby support, and attend after-hours emergencies as required.
