The company has a modern and attractive working environment, and a strong health benefits package. </p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p>Due to the growth of our business, we have an opening for Transformer Testing Technicians to join our team. </p></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Major Areas of Responsibilities</strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Make appropriate electrical connections necessary to perform production tests of oil-type power transformers, including Turns Ratio, DC Resistance, Insulation Resistance, Power Factor, Loss Measurement, Impulse, Hi-Pot, PD tests, etc. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>General testing of power transformers & control cabinets, following documented operation instructions and schematics. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Perform work based on general manufacturing instructions. </p></li><li></li></ul></p><p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>College Diploma in Electrical Technology or equivalent. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Ability to read electrical schematics & drawings and understand 2D & 3D sketches. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Basic awareness of manufacturing environment and use of production tools. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Work independently with minimal technical direction and supervision </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Ability to communicates in English (spoken, read/write) </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Physical requirements: Climb ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift minimal to heavy materials. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Manual dexterity, work from heights and ability to stand for extended periods. </p></li></ul></p></p><p><p><ul><li><p>General use of hand and power tools </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Complete work within expected periods of time. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Work safely, using all safety equipment supplied. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Communicate well with colleagues and supervisors. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Complete shop records accurately. </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience an asset. </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong></p></p><p><p> </p></p><p><p>Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm , Friday 7am – 1:30pm </p></p><p><p></p><p></p></p><p></p><p></p><p><p> </p></p><p></p><p><p></p></p><p></p><p><p></p></p><p></p></p><p><p><ul><li><p></p></li></ul></p></p><br><br></p></p>Create Your Resume First
