We’re looking for an experienced <strong>Press Manager</strong> to lead our talented print operations team in East Toronto. This is your opportunity to take ownership of a department that prides itself on precision, quality, and teamwork — and to make a real impact on both our people and our performance.</p><p>You’ll guide a skilled team of press operators and technicians, ensuring production goals are met efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. If you have a passion for process improvement, mentoring others, and driving operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Lead and inspire:</strong> Mentor and coach a skilled press team, setting clear goals, building capabilities, and fostering a positive, safety-first culture.</li><li><strong>Drive results:</strong> Set production metrics and standards that align with business goals — and ensure we hit them consistently.</li><li><strong>Optimize operations:</strong> Continuously assess systems, workflows, and processes to boost efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.</li><li><strong>Champion safety:</strong> Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, ensuring all team members adhere to safety standards.</li><li><strong>Collaborate cross-functionally:</strong> Partner with Quality, Customer Service, Sales, Scheduling, Procurement, and Product Development to meet customer needs and deadlines.</li><li><strong>Manage performance:</strong> Handle day-to-day problem solving, goal setting, and performance management with fairness and accountability.</li><li><strong>Monitor costs:</strong> Proactively manage departmental metrics and inventory to support profitability and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent practical experience).</li><li><strong>5+ years of management experience in printing or press operations.</strong></li><li>Proven leadership ability with a hands-on approach and a passion for developing people.</li><li>Strong understanding of press processes, production workflows, and manufacturing best practices.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook); Visio experience is an asset.</li><li>Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation — with the ability to connect effectively across all levels of the organization.</li><li>Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects at once.</li><li>Commitment to confidentiality, quality, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Ready to take the lead?</strong><br />If you’re a motivated operations professional who’s ready to bring energy, expertise, and excellence to our press team, we’d love to meet you.
