<p><b>Role: Project Manager</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>Client:</b> Ontario Government</p><p><b>Job Type:</b> Contract</p><p><b>Term:</b> 12 Months</p><p><b>Workplace Type:</b> Hybrid / Onsite</p><p><b>Pay Rate:</b> Negotiable</p><p><b>Start date:</b> 2-3 weeks</p><p><b>Location:</b> Toronto, ON</p><p><b>Language:</b> English</p><p><b>Clearance:</b> N/A</p><p><b>ATS ID #: 10065</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements: What you'll need</b></p><p><b>Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:</b></p><p><br></p><p>Desirable Skills:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Knowledge and understanding of Project Management's Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.</li><li>Ability to make recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology resources.</li><li>Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring, anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems and provides project effectiveness.</li><li>Ability to identify conflict between project and functional areas and develops responses to successfully address conflict.</li><li>Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations, provides updates as required, identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Project Planning and Management:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Develops/manages project schedules, deliverables, and scope.</li><li>Provides management/leadership to project teams, external service providers/vendors through all phases of projects; plans, coordinates and assigns work based on established priorities.</li><li>Manages and coordinates project monitoring, anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems and improves project effectiveness.</li><li>Promotes I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies.</li><li>Manages, coordinates, supports and/or assists in the planning, development, preparation of planning documents and submissions, including MB20's or RBP products related to I&IT projects or with an I&IT component; monitors and forecasts project costs and provides reporting and input to ensure targets are met.</li><li>Works with project teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time and meet government and ministry standards</li><li>Provides assistance in planning, development, production and approval of Terms of Reference and Project Charter processes, documents and deliverables.</li><li>Coordinates and monitors project processes, and develops/communicates guidelines and procedures.</li><li>Identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas; develops responses for review</li></ul><p><br></p><p>IT Solutions Development:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Manages, controls, and coordinates all project-related systems and procedures, including technology infrastructure change, transition and implementation.</li><li>Makes recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, technology resources.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>MUST HAVES:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed.</li><li>Articulates and prioritizes issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers.</li><li>Provides, project, program, and/or portfolio reporting to multi-stakeholders at senior executive levels.</li><li>Provides stakeholder management to multiple internal IT groups, Ministries and Vendors</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>PREFERRED SKILLS</b></p><p><br></p><p>PMBOK + Risk Mitigation + AODA + Solution Development + Project Planning + Project Charters</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>HOW TO APPLY</b></p><p><br></p><p><b>Patrick Marsan</b> is hiring for this position.
