Description of Duties:

The time commitment is minimal, the impact is immeasurable. Duties for the Publicity Director include, but are not limited to:
– Publicizing events, programs and other communications as directed by the board or any sub-committees via social media (Facebook and Instagram) and the VGCC website
– Working closely with the Board of Directors, Sub-Committees and the Club General Manager to ensure announcements and community updates are released in a timely fashion via social media and email
– Updating the VGCC website periodically to ensure relevant and accurate information is being shared with the community
– Attend monthly board meetings
– Attend club initiated events

With this position, will have a seat on the Board of Directors, which in turn gives you a voice on how the club moves forward. Please consider joining our dynamic group as we move forward to grow and improve our club and our programs.

Skills Required:

No special skills required, training will be provided. However, being social media savvy, personable, approachable and organized will be an asset.

Skills Gained/Related Careers:

Collaborating with in a group dynamic and holding a board of directors seat. Leadership skills, experience in social media marketing, written communications and community service.

Age:

18-30, 31-54, 55+
Time Commitment:
Hours are varied and dependent on what club events and programs are happening. Will be required to attend monthly board meetings, along with attendance to any club initiated event.
