Job Description
We are looking for an intermediate QC inspector for our metal manufacturing client in Concord, ON.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other common instruments
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and specifications
- Inspect parts to an established inspection test plan or sampling lot
- Identify and report non-conformances using documented procedures
- Knowledge of common mathematical concepts
- Knowledge and understanding of basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
- Basic understanding of measurement/metrology terminology and applications
- Basic computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications (Helpful, but not required):
- 2 years working in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of calibration requirements/procedures
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- First Article Inspection Reporting/PPAP-PSW Submissions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite
- Understanding of effective sampling (AQL, RQL)
- Internal Auditing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Can push, pull, or lift a minimum of 35lbs
