This is a great position that works collaboratively with the Recreation Manager and Village of Teslin team to enhance the recreational experience for all residents. The Recreation Programmer is a super important part of a super awesome team!

Key responsibilities of the position are to assist with the development of program and event plans, financial budgets and funding applications, and the day-to-day administrative functions of operating a strong recreation department.

The Recreation Programmer will be responsible for carrying out plans, and delivering indoor and outdoor programs and events for community members of all ages. They will assist with the oversight of facilities, equipment, and bookings.

They will need to be able to manage groups, while making routine and analytical decisions.

The successful candidate will be expected to work irregular hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays. He or she will be highly organized, energetic and motivated.

The candidate must have, or be prepared to obtain, a number of the following licenses, certificates, or training: class 5 drivers license, first aid/CPR, food safe, and knowledge of current occupational health and safety regulations.

A current Vulnerable Sector RCMP check is mandatory and experience and interest in working with youth is imperative. The desire to be a positive role model and lead a healthy lifestyle will make you a great fit for the position and the team.
