<p><strong>RQ09930 - Sr. Test Lead</strong></p> <p><strong>Contract 6+ months, 2 possible extensions </strong></p> <p><strong>Onsite / 21 College Street, Toronto</strong></p> <p><strong>Security Level: CRJMC</strong></p> <p><strong>Scope</strong></p> <ul><li>Contribute towards testing activities for the delivery and product management life cycle of the CDT project. The resource will be responsible for the following activities:<ul><li>Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive multi-year test strategy</li><li>Lead and execute the development and implementation of an automated regression test suite, refine the test suite with every iterative software update</li><li>Lead team and participate in the execution of test cases and scripts to verify solution. Reconcile, manage, record and track system or functional defects, break/fixes identified through requirements traceability across all types of testing </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration with Testing Lead, project manager, vendor, business project resources and developers to ensure application quality and alignment with project timelines (e.g., notify and resolve team barriers, respond to changes in direction, demonstrate user centric solutioning mindset)</li></ul></li></ul> <p><strong>Assignment Deliverables</strong></p> <ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of a multi-year test strategy.</li><li>Lead the design and implementation of an automated regression test suite</li><li>Manage the requirements traceability matrix to ensure all partner teams have tested their assigned requirements through all phases of the project</li><li>Identify risks and take proactive actions to mitigate issues impacting quality or timelines.</li><li>Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to align QA efforts with project goals.</li><li>Track and report on QA metrics, test progress, and quality indicators. Communicate risks, issues, and status updates to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.</li></ul> <p><strong>Must-haves:</strong></p> <ul><li><strong>8+ years </strong>of demonstrated QA experience, including leading QA teams, defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants</li><li>Knowledge and experience in the use of version control systems on one or more platforms, preferably <strong>Microsoft DevOps </strong>or <strong>Selenium</strong></li><li>Experience coordinating testing activities with project managers and others team members</li><li>Knowledge and experience in all phases of the <strong>Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)</strong></li><li>Conceptual skills to see the big picture and assist in integrating QA/testing processes and standards</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills</li></ul>
