Senior Environmental Engineer - Remediation & Division Lead needed for Markham, ON office-based role. Lead division operations, Phase I/II ESAs, RSCs, excess soil plans, and brownfield projects while managing teams and ensuring Ontario reg compliance (O. Reg. 153/04, 406/19).
Salary CAD $120K-$140K + full health benefits, onsite parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all technical and operational aspects of the Environmental Division
- Provide technical leadership, exercising problem solving skills.
- Support multidisciplinary site assessment/remediation/development projects through application of project management,
- Fully versed with Ontario environmental regulations such as O.Reg.153/04 and O.Reg.406/19, and others.
- Lead and contribute to proposals and manage Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments, including preparation of Records of Site Condition.
- Lead and participate in the preparation of excess soil management plans.
- Oversee and support field investigations pertaining to brownfield redevelopments, including development and implementation of sampling and analysis plans.
- Ensure client satisfaction including maintaining good client relationships and client development
- Build and support an outstanding team of Environmental Specialists and deliver first class service to the Clients.
- Implement environmental policies and practices and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
- Provide environmental training to staff at all levels and manage a team of technical, scientific and engineering staff across Employer’s various offices.
- Keep up to date with changes in environmental legislation and initiatives.
- Audit, analyze and collate performance data and reporting.
Required Qualifications (8+ yrs exp)
- P.Eng. (Ontario); Bachelor's Environmental/Civil Engineering.
- Phase I/II ESAs, RSCs, excess soils proficiency.
