Given our growth, we are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Montreal team.

The role of our Senior Building Estimator:


A trusted resource, our Senior Building Estimator will play a central role within the Atwill-Morin Group. This versatile project estimator will conduct various estimates for private and public clients and will be required to work on large-scale projects. Every day, he or she will use his or her assessment and planning skills to produce the most accurate overview possible of the work to be completed.

As an estimator for private and public projects, or by invitation, you will be required to:

Prepare bids (read plans and specifications);
Conduct site visits to validate the scope of work;
Ask architects and/or engineers to confirm certain work in the plans and specifications;
Establish prices and quantities for each project and provide a cost breakdown;
Issue invitations to subcontractors;
Issue invitations to suppliers;
Update tender documents with addenda/amendments/amendments;
Obtain the required documents for bid submissions (including the surety bond and proof of insurance);
Complete bid forms and ensure each file is complete;
Submit bids to submission platforms (Merx, SEAO, BSDQ, etc.);
Meet with clients to present our service offering and answer their questions;
Present the calls for tenders received to the project management team;
Remain available throughout the project to assist the project managers.


Required Skills:



Our estimator must, of course, possess strong analytical skills and excellent knowledge of building envelopes. However, they must also be distinguished by their desire to excel and maintain lasting relationships with our clients. This dynamic team player places collaboration at the heart of their approach.

Profile: Training in engineering, architecture, estimating, or any other field related to construction;

At least 5 years of experience in exterior envelope estimating;
Ability to read plans and specifications;
Knowledge of construction;
Good command of French and English, both spoken and written;
We communicate several times a day with English-speaking clients to serve our companies in Ontario. We are looking for someone with an intermediate level of English to fully understand the needs of the work to be done and prepare appropriate quotes.

Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel)
Knowledge of the BSDQ and SEAO


Will be considered assets:



General Health and Safety Certification on ASP Construction construction sites;
Experience in the masonry field.
