Roles and Responsibilities:
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead the design and architecture of the ServiceNow APM solution, aligning with business goals, CSDM (Common Service Data Model), and enterprise architecture standards.
- Define and implement the Application Portfolio hierarchy, lifecycles, scoring models, and assessment frameworks.
- Integrate APM with CMDB, ITSM, SPM, CSDM, SAM, HAM, and Discovery for accurate data governance.
Implementation & Delivery
- Drive end-to-end implementation of APM modules (Application Portfolio, Technology Portfolio, Business Capability Mapping, Application Services).
- Ensure high-quality configuration, customization, and integration across ServiceNow modules.
- Lead workshops with business stakeholders, architects, and IT leadership to define requirements and outcomes.
Governance & Data Management
- Establish processes for application rationalization, technical debt management, and cost transparency.
- Define governance models for APM data quality, lifecycle management, and portfolio insights.
- Support integration with external tools (e.g., EA tools, financial systems, cloud platforms).
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the trusted advisor to CIO, Enterprise Architects, and IT leadership on Application Portfolio strategy.
- Work closely with Business Relationship Managers, IT Finance, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
- Provide executive-level reporting and dashboards for application value, cost, and risk analysis.
Innovation & Best Practices
- Stay current with ServiceNow product roadmap, especially APM, SPM, and related modules.
- Define best practices, design patterns, and reusability models for ServiceNow APM.
- Guide technical teams and mentor developers/administrators.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Min 8+ years in ServiceNow with 5+ years as ServiceNow Developer; minimum 2–3 years of hands-on APM implementation and architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with APM, SPM, CMDB, CSDM, and Discovery.
- Solid understanding of business capability mapping, application lifecycle, scoring models, and rationalization frameworks.
- ServiceNow configuration, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, APIs, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong leadership in workshops, governance, and strategic initiatives.
Certifications Preferred:
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (APM or SPM).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). TOGAF a plus.
