On behalf of our client in the Financial Services industry, Torus Talent is currently seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer for a 1 year contract with a strong possibility of extension in Regina, Saskatchewan. This will be a hybrid work setup with a regular onsite requirement.

Responsibilities:


  • Establish a design system in Figma based on our client’s internal design component library
  • Create current state design assets for implementation teams based on the underlying product that they maintain
  • Develop and iterate on wireframes, mockups and prototypes for new business and user requirements
  • Proactively identify design problems and collaborate with implementation teams to improve existing product design
  • Create a design process to how to maintain version control for design assets and train implementation teams on the process
  • Train and coach implementation teams on using Figma as a design tool for collaboration when collaborating on business and user requirements

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in using Figma for creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Ability to collaborate with implementation teams to translate business and user requirements into design solutions
  • Excellent visual design skills
  • Systems thinking on how to organize design assets for teams and manage design assets version control
  • Excellent communications skills including presenting new design concepts and engaging implementation teams to identify business and user requirements

Required Experience:


  • 5-years minimum UI/UX design for Web or Mobile apps
  • 4-years minimum using Figma as design tool
  • 2 minimum UI/UX design projects in Canadian banking or financial services industry
  • 2 minimum UI/UX design projects for employee based products
  • Experience in leading development / implementation teams on UI/UX design principles
  • Personal design portfolio with examples of UI/UX design projects for digital products
