And that’s what we do: our customized sand control solutions allow us to respond quickly to the ever-changing variability of our customers’ vertical and horizontal well operations.</p><p>The shop technician is responsible for the preparation, assembly, and repair of various types of oilfield products. Stamping and labeling equipment. Able to operate air tools, hand tools and precision measurement equipment. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established corporate standards. Comply and participate in the company Health and Safety program. Excellent housekeeping of shop and work area is required. This position is a part of an on-call rotation and may require travel to remote job site locations.</p><p><strong>Job <span >Duties/Responsibilities</span></strong>.</p><ul><li>Performs independent, routine, or repetitive assignments using a variety of simple techniques and standard work procedures.</li><li>Follow detailed written procedures and technical drawings</li><li>Troubleshooting of equipment to identify/diagnose problems</li><li>Equipment tear down, repair and reassembly using hand and air tools, hand tools, and precision measurement equipment</li><li>Maintain excellent housekeeping</li><li>Counting inventory</li><li>Operate forklifts, handcarts, dollies, pallet jacks and overhead cranes</li><li>Ability to travel to remote job site locations as needed</li><li>Participation in the rotational on-call schedule</li><li>Active participation in FET’s HSE program.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Knowledge</strong></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of hydraulics & mechanics</li><li>Must have a mechanical aptitude</li><li>Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Good communication and comprehension skills (verbally and written)</li><li>Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve independently</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change direction</li><li>Capable to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a good driver’s abstract required.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years’ experience in a mechanical based role</li><li>Forklift and/or Reach truck experience and certification preferred</li><li>Experience related to hydraulics preferred, but not required</li><li>Prior experience with service/drilling rigs considered an asset.</li></ul><p><p><p><strong>About FET</strong></p><p>FET (Forum Energy Technologies, Inc.) is a global company, serving the crude oil, natural gas, and renewable energy industries.
