<p><p>Join to apply for the <b>Technical Sales Specialist - Remote</b> role at <b>Oregon Tool</b></p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p>We’re seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to generate direct sales to key dealers, eCommerce sellers, and end-user customers. The role represents the full Oregon product line across Forestry, Lawn & Garden, Harvester, Farm, and Outdoor Power Equipment products within an assigned territory in Canada. Responsibilities include growing sales with existing and new customers, engaging customers at all levels of the channel, developing new business opportunities, and supporting disaster relief efforts.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manage sales activities within assigned accounts and develop new business</li>
<li>Act as primary liaison between company and customers</li>
<li>Report on customer performance, market share, and competitor activity</li>
<li>Provide input on product lines, advertising, and market research</li>
<li>Collaborate with Marketing on new product recommendations and database improvements</li>
<li>Conduct regular customer meetings and address issues promptly</li>
<li>Deliver accurate and timely sales reports</li>
<li>Represent the company at trade shows and industry events</li>
<li>Organize and lead customer training sessions (in-person and online)</li>
<li>Develop training materials and curriculum</li>
<li>Support new product launches with technical and training assistance</li>
<li>Collaborate with distributors for business development initiatives</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications & Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Marketing, Business, or related field preferred</li>
<li>5+ years’ sales experience in the power equipment or other durable goods industries required</li>
<li>Experience with direct B2B and D2C selling preferred</li>
<li>Bilingual in English and French</li>
<li>Hands-on product demo experience, including field launches</li>
<li>Technical writing skills; assist with SOPs</li>
<li>Proven ability to set, translate, and achieve goals</li>
<li>Self-starter with strong initiative and performance focus</li>
<li>Skilled in negotiation and closing sales, with consistent prospecting to maintain a full sales pipeline</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li>
<li>Effective verbal and written communicator, both technical and non-technical</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>
</ul>
<h3>Availability</h3>
<ul>
<li>Significant travel, up to and at times exceeding 70% on a work year basis</li>
<li>International travel with passport or work visa</li>
</ul>
