<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Position Summary</p><p><br><br></p><p>The Cardiology Technologist Assistant (TA) is responsible for supporting our Cardiology department with various tasks and treatmentswhile setting an example of high-level patient care and teamwork at Pulse Veterinary Specialists & Emergency.</p><p></p><p>Were also excited to share that our hospital is expanding! With the addition of a second Veterinary Cardiologist to our team, we are looking for another Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join us. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing, collaborative team and to work alongside specialists while continuing to provide exceptional care to our patients and clients.</p><p></p><p>The Cardiology TA will report to the Lead Specialty Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) and collaborate closely with our two Cardiologists and the RVT team to provide exceptional patient care.</p><p></p><p>This position offers a compressed work week of four 10-hour shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday, with opportunities to pick up additional overtime shifts.</p><p></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Deliver exceptional patient care.</li><li>Assist Specialty RVTs and Specialty Veterinarians with various tasks and treatments.</li><li>Greet patients and their owners as they arrive and show them to an examining room.</li><li>Provide patient restraint as required during procedures and examinations.</li><li>Clean and maintain treatment rooms and equipment in preparation for procedures.</li><li>Ensure internal and external hospital cleaning schedules are followed.</li><li>Perform inventory management of supplies and pharmaceuticals as required, including ordering, receiving, storage, and handling.</li><li>Feed, bathe, and care for patients who stay overnight in our facility.</li><li>Responsible forsurgeryroom set-up, clean up and quick turnover between procedures.</li><li>Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical supplies.</li><li>Reports problems or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Assist with maintaining practice software including client and patient record management.</li><li>Educate clients about insurance, basic nutrition, home care, and wellness plans as required.</li><li><br />Openly and proactively communicate updates to Cardiology, Specialty Medicine, and management team members.
