<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Test Engineering works directly within Engineering to execute tests to validate internal and external customer design requirements.  We are looking for a contractor who is a good communicator and problem solver who is willing to learn new things while working in a team environment.</p><p> </p><p>Key Job Elements and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Assist in the setup and execution of component, sub-system and vehicle level tests Assist in the selection of appropriate instrumentation (transducers, data acquisition equipment, etc.) to satisfy test requirements</li><li>Assemble and prepare instrumentation wiring</li><li>Install and set up test instrumentation (transducers, wiring, data acquisition hardware, etc.) on test assets</li><li>Operate data acquisition hardware and software during testing</li><li>Manually record non-electronic data during testing</li><li>Enhance test data quality through proper setup of test instrumentation (grounding, guarding, & shielding techniques; cable routing techniques, instrumentation calibrations & checks, etc.)</li><li>Assist with test logs and files, etc. to support full and complete test documentation</li><li>Remove test instrumentation and equipment from unit under test upon completion of testing</li><li>Maintain instrumentation in working order</li><li>Clean and repair instrumentation upon completion of testing</li><li>Always conduct in-house and off-site testing activities safely in accordance with safe work practices</li><li>Help maintain instrumentation inventory and calibration records, etc.</li></ul><p> </p><p> Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li>University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering disciplines</li><li>Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to travel (5-25% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport</li><li>Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Requirements for confined space</li><li>“Hands-on” experience in soldering techniques, cable and wire preparation, basic wiring and circuit techniques, small tool operation, etc.</li><li>Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc)</li><li>Some familiarity and experience with MS Word and Excel</li><li>Willing and able to work outdoors under less than ideal weather conditions and surroundings</li><li>Willing and able to work extended work days including weekends when necessary</li><li>Valid driver’s permit</li></ul><p> </p><p>Preferred Experience:</p><ul><li>Introductory knowledge of transducers and data acquisition equipment</li><li>Experience working in a lab environment</li><li>Some knowledge and experience in test and measurements</li><li>Able to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical engineering drawings</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage and perform duties with minimal supervision </li><li>Basic knowledge of setup and operation of transducers (accelerometers, pressure transducers, flowmeters, thermocouples, RTDs, Load cells, strain gauges, LVDTs, etc.) and data acquisition equipment</li></ul><p> </p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract position based out of London, ON.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.</p><strong>Workplace Type</strong><p>This is a fully onsite position in London,ON.</p><p></p><p></p>À propos d&#39;Actalent: <p> Actalent est un chef de file mondial des services d’ingénierie et de sciences et des solutions de talents.
