<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $17.60 - $23.10 / hour (BOE)<br /><p>PRIMARY OBJECTIVE</p><p>The Timekeeper position is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of timekeeping and scorekeeping for games held at the Bell Sensplex or Richcraft Sensplex or Cavanagh Sensplex are executed properly.</p><p></p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p><p>Ongoing Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Timekeeping - Use the timeclock to accurately start/stop the clock, add goals, penalties, change periods.</li><li>Game sheet - Recording goals, assists, penalties on the provided game sheet.</li><li>Online statistics - Transpose the information recorded on the game sheet into the online statistics software using the provided iPad.</li><li>Announcing - Use the provided microphone to announce goals, assists, penalties, final minute of play, and other scripts occasionally assigned by your supervisor.</li><li>Music - Play music during warm-ups and stoppages.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Other</p><ul><li>Communicate any critical issues to the supervisor by radio, such as injuries, major penalties, ejections, schedule issues.</li><li>Checking the ID of players to determine eligibility, when requested by the supervisor.</li><li>Ensure on and off ice problems are resolved professionally and according to league policy.</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the <span >supervisor/convener.</span></li></ul><p></p><p>Health & Safety Responsibilities and Accountabilities</p><p>Responsible for ensuring that all areas covered by Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) are adhered to, specifically:</p><ul><li>Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability (AODA), Customer Service Standards</li><li>AODA, the Integrated Accessibility Standards</li><li>Ontario Worker Health & Safety Awareness</li><li>Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)</li><li>WHMIS 2015 (GHS)</li><li>Violence and Harassment in the Workplace</li></ul><p></p><p>Training</p><p>Responsible for completing on-line training modules as required, including, but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Working in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA, regulations and internal policies and procedures</li><li>Using or wearing protective equipment, devises or clothing when required</li><li>Reporting any missing or defective equipment or protective device which could endanger himself or herself or another team member</li><li>Reporting any contravention of the OHSA, regulations or Senators Sports & Entertainment policies and procedures</li></ul><p>May also be required to attend on-site training sessions as scheduled.</p><p></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Must be 15 years of age or older.</li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)</li><li>Familiar with the rules of hockey (experience as a player, coach, or referee in organized minor hockey as asset)</li><li>Must be comfortable with speaking to crowds of people.</li><li>Previous customer service experience.</li><li>Able to work under pressure.</li><li>Strong work ethic.</li><li>Team player.</li><li>Responsible and dependable.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li><li>Timekeeping experience is an asset, but not required.</li><li>Must provide a clear Police Records Check for service with the vulnerable sector</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>We would like to thank all applicants for applying; however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
