This is a full-time contract until March 2026. Reporting to the Workforce Development Training Supervisor, this rolewill support effective pre-employment skills training for participants.</p><p></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Perform intake and assessments to gain an initial understanding of clients employability skills and barriers to employment</li><li>Facilitate highly creative experiential learning group workshops consistent with participant needs</li><li>Develop and refine pre-employment skills training curricula, working collaboratively with supervisor</li><li>Provide current employment related information such as labor market information, employment standards, occupation specific skills and assistance in identifying transferable skills</li><li>Remain abreast of the key skills for employment readiness</li><li>Regularly gather feedback from participants self-report as well as assessments to guide curriculum review</li><li>Ensure that all participant activity is documented and files are kept accurate and up to date and participant progress is updated</li><li>Regularly review program data and assist in the preparation of monthly stats and reports</li><li>Maintain schedule of pre-employment skills training workshops</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications:<br /></p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education combined with workshop facilitation experience</li><li>Understand employability skills for the current and future labour market</li><li>Experience facilitating in a setting where there are a variety of learning levels amongst the participants</li><li>Highly developed intake and assessment skills</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication including presentation skills</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace Internet searches and understanding of responsible use of AI</li><li>Problem solving skills and conflict resolution</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search within the past 12 months</li><li>Demonstrated personal commitment to YSMs principles of faith, mission and values</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Compensation:YSM will pay a starting rate of$24.29 an hour for this contracted role. <br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Deadline for Application:Until position is filled</p><p><br />While we appreciate all responses, only candidates under consideration will be contacted.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>YSM welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
