WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced Validation Process Engineer to join our Engineering team on a full-time and permanent basis. This position will be based out of our Eastside Production Facility located in Etobicoke and will require candidates to work 5-days a week on-site.
This role provides key support to the Site Leadership Team for all validation requirements and is also responsible for leading the change control process for modifications to validated equipment, ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, the Validation Process Engineer drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance, enhance quality, and reduce costs.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Develop and lead timeline discussion for New Product Development (NPD), Existing Product development (EPD) and TPM-Insourcing products.
- Responsible for developing and executing validation protocols (OQ/PQ) for new or retrofit equipment and Design and develop cleaning procedures for existing and new products.
- Develop and execute Product/Process Performance Qualification (PPQ) protocols, Firm, Form & Function (FFF) tests and Line Trials protocols for existing and new products.
- Identify, document and investigate protocol deviations in conjunction with cross functional teams and Write validation summary reports completed studies
- Lead the change control process for modifications to validated equipment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide key technical support in capital projects involving cleaning, filing and packaging components to sustain or enhance performance and reliability.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance, enhance quality and reduce costs.
- Provide input and advice to the R&D Team regarding production equipment, capabilities and limitations for NPD and EPD products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Packaging, Operations, SC, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of validation related initiatives.
- Manage, train, mentor and support the optimized performance of all direct reports including setting clear and measurable objectives for the team; assess and support each direct report to develop their functional, interpersonal skills, with a primary focus on their individual development plans
- B.S. Degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline with 5+ years of validation experience in a GMP environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
- Process Equipment expertise in a FMCG manufacturing industry.
- Experience in writing technical documents, especially compliance and/or Validation/quality assurance documents and protocols.
- Must be proficient on validation protocol development, data analysis and report writing, as well as manufacturing/inspection procedures.
- Proficient in ISO 22716, GMP’s, Health Canada and FDA Regulations as it applies to cosmetics, OTC/NHP products.
